Children Still "Trapped" in Pornography: The Negative Impact of the Internet

The internet certainly has a good or bad influence on society at large. Everyone can access the internet as they wish, but children who already have the opportunity to be able to access the internet certainly need to be given close supervision by their parents. Because the information is too broad and deep on the internet, many bad things will happen if children are not supervised. Children can access the worst information such as pornography which is widely spread on the internet.

That is because the teacher caught a child busy doing something indecent. In addition, pornographic videos were also found on children's gadgets. It is a picture of the negative influence of the internet, which is accessed by children without adult supervision. Children can easily view and store pornography on their gadgets. Of course, this has an impact on the child himself in terms of psychology. Children after viewing pornography then imitate the same things they see on the internet.

According to Kadir (2020), viewing pornography can potentially make a person have repeated sexual fantasies where they masturbate. Then they may be tempted to act out to further their sexual fantasies. Children who watch pornographic videos, apart from disrupting their brain development, other consequences that can happen to them are making them perpetrators of sexual violence because their sexual fantasies are huge.

In today's era, the internet can be easier to access, especially for children who are still under parental supervision. The convenience of the internet can become a boomerang for the community if it is not used wisely. Children, who can easily see pornographic videos, will have an impact on their daily behavior. So it is better to accompany the children if they access the internet.
